Canadiens' Andrew Shaw: Two majors, misconduct Tuesday

Shaw picked up two major penalties, a 10-minute misconduct and then a game misconduct in Tuesday night's preseason win over Washington.

Analysis:

Shaw's stat line from his first preseason game as a Canadien: 12:27 of ice time, one shot on goal, one hit and 30 minutes in penalties. The Habs acquired Shaw in the offseason to add some grit to the lineup, and the former Blackhawk is already living up to his reputation. He's slated to skate on the second line with Tomas Plekanec and Alexander Radulov when the season opens.
