Sabres' Robin Lehner: will play full preseason game

Lehner is healthy and expects to play the full game Tuesday against Ottawa, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports.

Analysis:

Lehner suffered two ankle sprains that limited him to just 21 appearances for the Sabres last year and forced him to miss the World Cup this fall, but has been deemed to be 100 percent healthy. He'll get a chance to show off the work he's put in over the summer, including a change in his diet that helped him shed 40 pounds. The Swede is the undisputed No. 1 goalie in Buffalo and isn't in danger of losing his job to Anders Nilsson, barring some kind of injury or disastrous play. If healthy, Lehner has a chance to be a borderline top-15 goalie this season.
