Capitals' Tom Wilson: Suffers upper-body injury Monday

Wilson suffered an upper-body injury during Monday's exhibition game against Carolina, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Associate coach Todd Reirden downplayed the severity of the injury following Monday's game, but Wilson will be reevaluated Tuesday just in case. With the regular season still nearly two weeks away, there doesn't seem to be much reason to believe Wilson will have any trouble taking the ice when it matters on Oct. 13 against the Penguins.
