Blackhawks' Alexandre Fortin: Signs contract with Blackhawks

Fortin signed a three-year contract with the Blackhawks on Sunday.

Analysis:

Fortin spent the 2015-16 campaign with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he finished the year with 19 goals and 24 assists over 54 games. The 19-year-old forward was with the Blackhawks for their prospect camp back in July and had an impressive showing, which now lands him a three-year deal. He should be considered a developmental project for the Blackhawks and is a long shot to be significant contributor in his first season at the NHL level.
