Bruins' David Krejci: Cleared for training camp

Krejci has been cleared to participate in training camp, Caryn Swtiaj of NHL.com reports.

Analysis:

Krejci is five months into his rehab from hip surgery and commented Thursday, "I'm not there yet, but I'm close." Bruins general manager Don Sweeney stated that him and fellow recovering iceman Torey Krug will be worked into training camp in a "modified contact situation," participating partially in drills before their workload gets ramped up. It seems likely that Krejci, with three more weeks of recovery time in front of him, will be ready for the Bruins' season opener Oct. 13 against the Blue Jackets.
