Islanders' Mikhail Grabovski: Not medically cleared for camp

Grabovski (concussion) has not been medically cleared for training camp, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

Analysis:

Grabovski has suffered three concussions over the past two seasons, and is still dealing with symptoms stemming from those injuries ahead of the 2016-17 campaign. The 32-year-old forward is clearly still a long way from returning to game action, as he has yet to be cleared to resume skating, and may not be able to return to practice until after the Islanders' regular-season schedule gets underway Oct. 13 against the Rangers. Owners keeping an eye on Grabovski's health can expect an update on the German forward's status once he's cleared to skate.
