Canucks' Alexander Edler: Ready for start of training camp
Edler (leg) is healthy and has been cleared for the start of training camp.
Analysis:
Edler missed 29 games last season with a broken leg suffered Feb. 9. Prior to his injury, the blueliner was having a solid campaign, as he registered 20 points, 46 PIM and 106 blocked shots. The 30-year-old averaged over 24 minutes per night on the Canucks' top defensive pairing, playing on both the power play and the penalty kill, and figures to enjoy a similarly large role again this year.
