Red Wings' Tomas Jurco: Injury return date pushed back
Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill said early November is the soonest he expects to see Jurco returning from a back injury, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis:
Missing all of training camp and possibly the first month of the season puts Jurco at a serious disadvantage as he tries to pin down a roster spot. The 23-year-old has one year left on his one-way contract with the Red Wings, which is valued at $950,000.
