Sabres' Tyler Ennis: Packs on muscle, expects big season

Ennis, who hasn't played since Dec. 30 due to a concussion, says he "feels really good" and is ready to begin the season, WGR 550 reports.

Analysis:

Ennis spent the summer training hard in Edmonton and is looking forward to a "fresh start." He appeared in just 23 games during the 2015-16 season after notching back-to-back 20-goal seasons, admitting that his injury-riddled campaign was frustrating and is looking forward to re-establishing himself in the Sabres' top two lines. There has been no indication of where the Sabres will slot Ennis, but it's noted that he showed good chemistry with center Zemgus Girgensons, who's penciled in as the third-line center. The slick winger can play both left or right wing, giving head coach Dan Bylsma plenty of flexibility. When healthy, Ennis is a staple on the Sabres' top power play unit, and at age 27 is still in the midst of his prime. A 50-point projection for Ennis isn't a reach, and he could provide excellent value in the late rounds for fantasy owners.
