Ducks' Sean Bergenheim: Will participate in training camp

Bergenheim finalized a professional tryout agreement with Anaheim on Tuesday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.

Analysis:

Bergenheim, a first-round selection in the 2002 NHL Draft, has never quite lived up to expectations, as he logged his best season back in 2010-11 with Florida. After failing to secure a deal with a team in the NHL, the 32-year-old agreed to terms with Bern SC of the Swiss League and could return there if this tryout doesn't end in a roster spot. Look for the winger to be in a battle with left side player David Booth for that final spot.
