Canucks' Jack Skille: Secures tryout for training camp

Skille will join Vancouver on a professional tryout agreement it was announced Monday, TSN Radio Vancouver reports.

Analysis:

Skille logged 74 games for the Avalanche last season, yet averaged just 8:50 in ice time per game. Given his limited use even when dressed, it should come as no surprise that the Canucks were unwilling to sign the winger without kicking the tires first. If he makes the team, which is by no means guaranteed, fantasy owners should not expect much beyond his 2015-16 production in which he tallied 14 points, 11 PIM, and 97 hits.
