Flyers' Matt Read: Healthy entering training camp

Read (wrist) has resumed skating and is set to participate in training camp, Dave Isaac of the Courier-Post reports.

Analysis:

Read underwent minor surgery in June. Injury aside, the past couple of seasons have been frustrating offensively for Read, failing to reach the 20-goal plateau since the 2013-14 campaign. "Yeah, it's been frustrating, but if it's not working you have to change something to fix it," Read said. "That's kind of what I've been doing." The 30-year-old right wing has made drastic changes in his offseason regimen in order to return to form. Last season, Read netted 11 goals with 15 assists in 79 games.
