Devils' Anders Lindback: Signs for training camp

Lindback inked a professional tryout agreement with the Devils on Friday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.

Analysis:

Lindback finished out the 2015-16 season with the Coyotes on injured reserve due to an Achilles injury. With Cory Schneider participating in the World Cup of Hockey, the Devils lacked netminder depth for training camp. Keith Kinkaid is cemented in the relief role, so the 28-year-old Lindback likely won't end up with the Devils. Rather, he'll likely use the tryout to show teams in need of a goalkeeper that he's a healthy, viable backup option.
