Sharks' Logan Couture: Joining Team Canada for World Cup of Hockey

Couture will replace Jamie Benn (abdomen) on Team Canada's roster for the World Cup of Hockey, NHL.com reports.

Analysis:

Couture reportedly has been bulking up this offseason in an effort to stay healthy after a fractured right fibula wiped out nearly two months of his 2015-16 campaign. Of course, the Ontario native made a successful recovery and ended up beasting offensively during the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs to the tune of a league-high 30 points (10 goals, 20 assists) in 24 games. The World Cup will present the perfect opportunity for fantasy owners to get a sneak peek at Couture's readiness for the upcoming season. He's sure to be drafted early given his sterling postseason output and career regular-season average of 0.75 points per game.
