Bruins' Danton Heinen: Could challenge for NHL roster spot
CSN's Joe Haggerty refers to Heinen as a player who could make "a real dark horse run" at a roster spot with the Bruins this coming season.
Analysis:
The 2014 fourth-rounder is coming off a campaign in which he recorded 20 goals and 48 points as a sophomore for the University of Denver, helping his team earn a slot in the NCAA Frozen Four. While it's more likely he'll start his pro career at the AHL level in Providence, Heinen's stock is on the rise after a strong effort at the Bruins' recent development camp. Per Haggerty, Heinen "has the playmaking skills and hockey IQ to flourish while surrounded by more accomplished players and in tighter situations."
