Senators' Derick Brassard: Shipped off to Ottawa

Brassard was traded to the Senators by the Rangers on Monday along with a 2018 seventh-round pick in a swap for Mika Zibanejad and a 2018 second-round pick.

Analysis:

Brassard could be considered an upgrade for Ottawa down the middle, but he is slightly older than Zinbanejad, making the cost of a second-round pick seem slightly overpriced considering the players had relatively similar production last year. In terms of fantasy value, the 28-year-old has competed in at least 80 games in each of the last three seasons while also reaching the 40-point mark.
