Coyotes' Tyler Gaudet: Inks one-year, two-way extension

Gaudet put pen to paper on a one-year, two-way contract extension with the Coyotes on Friday, Sportsnet reports.

Analysis:

Though he went undrafted, Gaudet attracted the Coyotes as a free agent in November of 2013. The 23-year-old has size at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, but he's still learning how to effectively outmuscle opponents. Gaudet's 2015-16 campaign was split between the Coyotes and minor-league affiliate AHL Springfield -- he produced 13 points in 44 games with the Falcons and three in 14 with the 'Yotes. You can safely pass over him in fantasy drafts this coming season since he's likely to continue part-time NHL duty.
