Capitals sign Zach Sanford to entry-level contract

The Washington Capitals have signed center Zach Sanford to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The deal carries a cap hit of $875,000, with an additional $50,000 on the table in potential bonus money.

Sanford, 21, was selected 61st overall at the 2013 NHL Draft. In 41 games for Boston College this past season, he recorded 13 goals and 26 assists.
