Devils' Kyle Palmieri: Re-ups with New Jersey for five years

Palmieri signed a five-year, $23.25 million contract extension with the Devils on Thursday.

Analysis:

After Palmieri filed for salary arbitration Tuesday, the two sides were quick to come to terms on a new deal for the burgeoning winger. A former first-round draft pick (2009), Palmieri thrived last season in his first go-around with the Devils, easily sailing to career highs in goals (30), assists (27) and power-play points (23). Those numbers look even more impressive when you consider that New Jersey finished dead last in scoring. Taylor Hall was added to the mix this offseason, providing the Devils with an impressive top line comprised of Hall, Henrique and Palmieri. Don't forget about any of those guys when it's time for your fantasy draft.
