Penguins' David Warsofsky: Returns to Pittsburgh on one-year deal

Warsofsky signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Penguins on Friday, Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Analysis:

Warsofsky split time between the Penguins and Devils organizations last season, notching two points (one goal, one assist) with a minus-6 rating over 22 games with those clubs. The 26-year-old Massachusetts native will provide Pittsburgh with organizational depth at defense in 2016-17, and will likely spend the majority of the campaign in the minors.
