Jets' Julian Melchiori: Inks two-year contract with Jets

Melchiori signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Jets on Saturday.

Analysis:

Melchiori hasn't reached the box score with the Jets just yet, appearing in a total of 12 games over his career (11 last year). The 24-year-old wasn't spectacular at AHL Manitoba, either, notching seven points in 62 outings. The blueliner has been with the Winnipeg organization for the past five seasons, but has yet to make a noteworthy impact.
