Habs sign Zach Redmond to 2-year, $1.225M contract

The Montreal Canadiens have come to terms with Zach Redmond, signing the defenseman to a two-year contract worth $1.225 million, the club announced.
The 27-year-old spent last season split between the Colorado Avalanche and their AHL affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. He collected six points in 37 games with Colorado.
Redmond will likely slot in as a depth defenseman with the Canadiens and could prove to be valuable as a right-handed shot.
