Eric Hartline / USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Kings have signed forward Michael Latta and defenseman Zach Trotman to a one-year contracts, the club announced.

Latta is coming off his third season with the Washington Capitals, joining the club back in 2013 from the Nashville Predators - along with Martin Erat - in exchange for Filip Forsberg.

The 25-year-old played in just 43 games this past season where he had three goals and four assists.

The value of Trotman's deal is unknown. He'll be 26 in August, and had two goals and five assists in 38 games for the Boston Bruins last season.
