The Los Angeles Kings signed goaltender Jeff Zatkoff to a two-year contract Friday to back up Jonathan Quick, the club announced. The deal is worth $900,000 per season, reports TSN's Bob McKenzie.

Zatkoff will join the team that originally drafted him in the third round in 2006. He never played a game for the Kings before signing with the Pittsburgh Penguins on July 1, 2012.

The 29-year-old dressed in 14 games this past season, posting a .917 save percentage and a 2.79 goals-against average.
