Wild's Zac Dalpe: Earns one-year, two-way extension
Dalpe signed a one-year, two-way contract extension with the Wild on Thursday. The deal is worth is worth $600,000 at the NHL level and $275,000 in the AHL, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Analysis:
That's a substantial AHL rate for Dalpe, a depth center who only appeared in two NHL games with Minnesota last season. The 27-year-old was drafted by the Hurricanes with a second-round pick in 2008, yet he's been on three different clubs since then with just 21 points in 119 games over an NHL career that is six years old.
