Oilers' Iiro Pakarinen: Extends contract for one year

Pakarinen signed a one-year contract extension with the Oilers on Monday.

Analysis:

Pakarinen, a native of Finland, played in his first full NHL season in 2015-16. He recorded five goals and eight assists in 63 games during that campaign. The 24-year-old is still adjusting to hockey in North America and will be hard-pressed to evolve into a top-six forward. As a result, his fantasy value is minimal.
