Kings' Trevor Lewis: Earns four-year contract extension

Lewis agreed to terms with the Kings on a four-year contract extension Saturday.

Analysis:

Lewis is versatile and he does the dirty work -- it's not uncommon to find the 29-year-old digging around the end boards or laying into the opposition in pursuit of the disc. Over the last two seasons, the veteran forward has amassed 360 hits for the benefit of the Kings. Lewis also contributed a pair of goals in the conference finals of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Unfortunately, those efforts were fruitless with the Sharks winning the series, but nonetheless was a pleasant surprise coming from a guy who has barely averaged 12 goals per campaign over eight years in the league. Still, unless your rosters run deep, there's not enough offensive flair in Lewis' game to make him worthy of attention in the fantasy realm.
