Penguins' Matt Murray: Likely to continue tandem with M-A Fleury

Murray and Marc-Andre Fleury are expected to enter the 2016-17 campaign as the Penguins goalies, the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette reports.

Analysis:

Rumors have been swirling that Fleury could be on the move after watching Murray lead the Pens to their fourth Stanley Cup win in franchise history earlier this month. However, Calgary, one of the teams starved for help between the pipes, acquired Brian Elliott from St. Louis in a draft-day trade Friday and now has little incentive to pursue Fleury. Penguins general manager Jim Rutherford said, "unless something really strange happens," he will roster both Murray and Fleury to open the 2016-17 season, though he declined to say who would be the No. 1 option.
