Korshkov tied for the scoring lead among Russians at the 2016 World Junior Hockey Championship, scoring twice and adding six assists in seven games.
The winger played two seasons in the KHL and came into the draft as the seventh-ranked European skater. While his statistics in Russia's top league don't wow, he's impressed when playing among fellow teenagers. He went undrafted in the last two years due to the fact he's under contract in the KHL through 2018.
Korshkov has solid offensive instincts and is a good skater for a big kid. His work ethic has been commended, and he uses skilled hands to go hard to the net.
