Flyers' Radko Gudas: Inks multi-year extension with Philadelphia

Gudas signed a four-year, $13.4 million contract extension with the Flyers on Thursday, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports.

Analysis:

Gudas was set to become a restricted free agent on July 1, so the Flyers opted to lock the 26-year-old blueliner down long-term Thursday to avoid having to deal with any competing offers from other NHL clubs. Gudas only tallied 14 points (five goals, nine assists) over 76 games last season, but racked up 116 PIM, 150 shots on goal and 304 hits over that span, making him a valuable commodity in fantasy leagues that employ those categories.
