Blackhawks' Artemi Panarin: Wins Calder Trophy

Panarin was presented with the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL's Rookie of the Year at the NHL Awards ceremony Wednesday.

Analysis:

Panarin put together an impressive rookie campaign in 2015-16, racking up 30 goals and 47 assists over 80 games. The Russian winger thrived on the Blackhawks' most dangerous offensive unit during his first NHL season, quickly developing remarkable chemistry with linemates Patrick Kane and Artem Anisimov. Panarin will likely once again skate alongside Kane and Anisimov on Chicago's second line in 2016-17, and should be in line for another highly productive season barring injury.
