Kings' Milan Lucic: Contract talks ongoing

Lucic, a pending unrestricted free agent, has resumed contract negotiations with the Kings, though a deal is not imminent, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.

Analysis:

In late April, after the Kings were ousted by the Sharks in the conference quarterfinals, Lucic expressed his desire to renew with the Kings. Following eight seasons with the Bruins, the 28-year-old produced 55 points (20 goals, 35) assists in his first year donning silver and black -- that was only a tick below his career averages and Lucic still amassed 244 hits, good for 11th in the entire league.
