Penguins' Patric Hornqvist: Close but no cigar in Game 5

Hornqvist went scoreless Thursday but led the Pens with seven shots on goal and six hits.

Analysis:

Hornqvist was among the many shooters stoned by San Jose goalie Martin Jones. Perhaps his best opportunity came when Evgeni Malkin threw him a perfect sauce pass coming down the slot. The Swede caught the puck and then got off a shot, but Jones stood tall for yet another save. Hornqvist has scored eight goals and 12 points in 23 postseason contests.
