Lightning's Ben Bishop: Cap issues could put goalie on trade market

The Lightning are at the salary cap ceiling and have cap issues going forward, and that could mean Bishop (ankle) and his $5.9 million contract are traded this offseason.

Analysis:

Bishop's value has never been higher coming off a season in which he led the NHL in goals against average and was the only goalie to finish in the top five in wins, save percentage and shutouts. But he has full no-move clause in his contract. Still, Andrei Vasilevskiy's strong performance during the Eastern Conference finals shows he's ready for more playing time. The Bolts may still go with their current tandem, but moving Big Ben and rolling with the lower cost Vasilevskiy could make real cap sense.
