Sharks' Chris Tierney: Takes advantage of empty net

Tierney deposited an empty-net goal Monday as the Sharks prevailed over the Blues, 6-3, in Game 5.

Analysis:

It was a nifty wraparound tally for the third liner, who's now scored in back-to-back games. Tierney is lauded for his rigid work ethic and hockey smarts. He's seen his ice time climb over a full minute in the playoffs, but that bottom-six role still has him below 15 minutes per contest. A complementary player of sorts, Tierney has produced five points (four goals, one assist) to go along with a plus-5 rating this postseason. He's a low-end fantasy option.
