Lightning's Tyler Johnson: Eats puck, ends up with game-winner

Per the Tampa Bay Times, Johnson was hit in the face with the puck during pregame warmups Friday -- ahead of Game 4 against the Penguins -- but still played and ultimately tallied the game-winning goal in the second period.

Analysis:

Johnson ended up with a clear shield to protect his mug after reportedly trying out a number of different protective masks throughout the game. He skated for 15:33, which was enough time to tally his second goal in as many games. The score proved to be especially clutch, as the Penguins potted three unanswered goals in the third stanza and nearly sent the match into overtime. Considering that Johnson was able to play through the injury, we wouldn't worry about him come Sunday when the Lightning face the Pens on the road for Game 5. "He's a warrior," teammate Ondrej Palat said.
