Canucks sign Yan-Pavel Laplante to entry-level deal

The Vancouver Canucks announced the signing of forward Yan-Pavel Laplante to a three-year entry-level contract Monday.
Laplante was originally a third-round pick of the Arizona Coyotes in 2013. He's 21, is 6-feet, and weighs 183 pounds.
In five seasons in the QMJHL, Laplante had 183 points in 251 games. He set career highs across the board this past season, with 34 goals and 31 assists in 63 games.
