Predators' Filip Forsberg: Bothered by back ailment during playoffs

Forsberg played through a back injury during the playoffs.

Analysis:

Forsberg's back ailment may have hindered the 21-year-old winger's effectiveness during the postseason, as the young Swede only managed to notch four points in 14 playoff games after racking up 64 points in 82 regular-season contests. There's currently no indication that Forsberg's back injury will prevent him from being ready for the start of next season's training camp. However, at this juncture it's unclear where Forsberg will be playing in 2016-17, as the 2012 first-round pick is now a restricted free agent, and reportedly has yet to engage in contract negotiations with Nashville. Forsberg is sure to be a highly sought-after free agent after tallying an impressive 127 points (59 goals, 68 assists) in 164 games over the past two seasons.
