Stars' Tyler Seguin: Might have played in conference final

Seguin's lingering lower-body injury concerns his calf, the Dallas Morning News reports, adding that Seguin might have been healthy enough to play in the Western Conference Finals, had the Stars made it that far.

Analysis:

Seguin was constantly evaluated during the postseason but lost the race against the clock in his recovery. The Stars certainly could have used the stud center as they were crushed by the Blues, 6-1, in Game 7 on Wednesday. On a positive note, Seguin is said to be completely healed from an Achilles injury that bothered him in the first round of the playoffs, when the Stars matched up with the Wild. He did play in Game 2 of that series, but was held off the scoresheet in 15:40 of ice time. Given that he was still in consideration for playoff action, Seguin shouldn't get a big bump down draft boards in fantasy leagues next season.
