Oilers' Oscar Klefbom: Expected to be ready for next season

Klefbom played just 30 games in 2015-16, recording 12 points, due to a hand injury and an infection in his foot, but the Edmonton Journal reports that he's expected to be healthy heading into next season.

Analysis:

Over those first 30 games, Klefbom looked to be growing into the role of a two-way blueliner on the top pairing, but his season was cut short far too soon. From the sound of coach Todd McLellan's talk about the injury, Klefbom could have returned right around the end of the season if the Oilers had been in contention, but that was decidedly not the case, so they let him have the offseason to heal. He should be back in at least a top-four role next season.
