He'll need to take contact before returning to action, but Friday was a good first step. Maatta and Derrick Pouliot formed Pittsburgh's fourth pairing for the skate. Maatta has yet to collect a point in seven playoff games and has just one point in his last 18 contests dating back to March 3.
