Panthers' Jaromir Jagr: Re-signs with Panthers

Jagr agreed to a new one-year contract with Florida on Thursday. TSN's Frank Seravalli reports the deal is worth $4 million with the possibility of earning up to $1.515 million in performance bonuses.

Analysis:

Jagr will continue chasing that elusive third title despite the fact that he will turn 45 years old during the 2016-17 campaign. If there was ever anyone who seemed prepared to break Gordie Howe's record for oldest player to suit up for an NHL team, it certainly would be the Slovakian winger. Jagr led all Panthers scorers with 66 points in 79 contests this season. In terms of fantasy value, many pundits have speculated a slowdown is right around the corner, yet it may not be wise to bet against the ageless wonder.
