Rangers' Dominic Moore: Unlikely to return next year

Moore is unlikely to return to the Rangers next season, according to the New York Daily News.

Analysis:

The Rangers signed the defensively oriented pivot to a two-year, $3 million contract in 2014, so he's set for free agency this offseason. With the Blueshirts likely looking to mix things up on their roster in search of some more offensive punch, Moore's not likely part of next season's picture, but he doesn't quite seem ready for retirement yet. It's likely that he'll lace 'em up again for his age-36 season, helping some franchise in his typical role as a fourth-liner and penalty killer.
