Islanders' Jaroslav Halak: Still not ready to play

Halak (groin) still isn't ready to return to the Islanders, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

Analysis:

Even if Halak was healthy, he probably wouldn't be starting for the Isles at this point. Thomas Greiss has been nothing short of spectacular in the playoffs, posting a .937 save percentage while winning five of eight starts. Still, the Isles would like to see Halak at least be able to serve as the backup goaltender sooner rather than later, as current backup Jean-Francois Berube only have seven NHL appearances under his belt.
