Granlund signed a two-year contract extension Tuesday with the Canucks.

Analysis:

Granlund played an abbreviated 2015-16 season, appearing in a mere 16 contests and tallying only three points. Nonetheless, after acquiring the 23-year-old at the trade deadline, it seems Vancouver saw enough to lock him up moving forward. While the team may have secured his services for the future, fantasy owners should not be too concerned about holding onto the oft-injured center for the 2016-17 campaign.
