Aleksander Barkov found twine in Game 5 against the Islanders on Friday night, but it wasn't enough as the Panthers were defeated 2-1 in double-overtime.

Barkov found twine in Game 5 against the Islanders on Friday night, but it wasn't enough as the Panthers were defeated 2-1 in double overtime.

Analysis:

Barkov was on the receiving end of a nifty pass from Alex Petrovic, with the puck traveling between Jaromir Jagr's legs to give Barkov a wide-open look at the net for the score. The Zebras would end up reviewing the play on account of the Panthers being believed to have initially been offside, but fortunately for Barkov owners, there was not enough evidence to take the goal off the board. Barkov failed to capitalize on a penalty shot in the first overtime, but his fantasy owners can't complain since the bonus hockey padded his shot totals - he had five of those bad boys. This kid plays like a bulldog on skates, and you can't say "he's all bark and no bite." The 20-year-old has two goals and an assist in this series.
