Lundqvist (eye) will start Saturday afternoon for Game 2 against the Penguins.

Analysis:

Lundqvist has dodged the proverbial bullet after taking a stick to the eye from teammate Marc Staal in Game 1 on Wednesday. According to TribLIVE, the scary accident will not cause King Lundqvist to change masks as the goalie reportedly has worn the same face protector for the past 12-13 years. "I haven't seen many incidents like this over the years," Lundqvist said. "Accidents happen. Injuries happen. I still feel as a goalie we're pretty well protected, so I don't see it as an issue." With the eye injury fortunately not serious, Lundqvist can return his focus to slowing down a Pens attack that blew up for five goals on 31 shots in the series opener.
