Analysis:

Malkin's inclusion on the power play is one of the best signs he is nearing a return. The Pens have struggled on the man advantage without the Russian, and he certainly would provide a boost to the top unit. Pittsburgh is back in action Saturday, so expect an update prior to the game, but if the center is unable to go for Game 2, signs seem to point to him being back on the ice for Game 3 or 4 in New York.
