Rielly signed a six-year contract extension with the Maple Leafs on Wednesday.

Analysis:

Despite playing three seasons with the Leafs already, Rielly remains just 22 years of age. Rielly contributes on both end of the ice -- this year, he collected 36 points and 167 shots on goal while sacrificing his body to the tune of 122 blocked shots on the defensive end. The resulting minus-17 rating isn't really an indicator of his play as much as the team around him. His numbers could improve in the coming seasons if the Leafs manage to improve through free agency and the draft.
