Carey Price (leg) will not play again this season

Price (leg) will not play again this season, Erik Engels of Sportsnet reports.

Analysis:

Away from game ice since Nov. 25, Price had been practicing in an effort to try and play in at least one game before the regular season comes to a close. The 28-year-old backstop entered the season as a popular No. 1 draft choice in countless fantasy leagues, but separate injuries to his lower body and leg limited him to just 12 games (all starts). In that brief span, he performed quite well, having generated a 2.06 GAA and .934 save percentage to go along with a 10-2-0 record. Due to his injury troubles, he could slide down draft boards next season but the extent of the fall will hinge on how his recovery goes in the offseason.
